What is a TTRPG Therapy Group?

Exactly what it sounds like!

It’s a group that meets once a week to play a tabletop roleplaying game (a game like Dungeons & Dragons) and to work on therapeutic issues like social skills, emotions, anxiety, and problem solving.

Is a TTRPG Therapy Group right for me?

Therapy is all about a good fit and building relationships with others. Some folks find what they need in individual therapy, and others prefer groups. TTRPG Therapy Groups give you a chance to practice skills in real life and to get feedback from others.

It can feel vulnerable at first, and often becomes a rewarding and meaningful experience. Plus, TTRPGs are fun! We tend to have a great time playing and growing together.

How does it work?

Each week, we meet for 2 hours. For the first hour, we play a tabletop roleplaying game (exploring a dungeon, fighting monsters, solving puzzles). Afterward, we spend about 45 minutes discussing how the game went. Often, we talk about things that went well, challenges we faced, and how the game relates to us in real life.
